I started Bridge Training Consultants in 2003 to correct a problem. Workplace trainings were too often dull and boring, wasting time, instead of providing valuable information. Workers tuned out, and who can blame them? I had an idea.
The best way to engage any audience is to add humor, so I created trainings that did that, led by professional trainers who are also professional entertainers! We deliver the same information, but we do it in a way that engages attendees, encourages them to participate and increases their ability to learn and take on information.
We started by providing a safety program that incorporates prizes and awards, a safety wheel of fortune, and music. Individual workers, teams and departments are recognized for their contributions. Safety suggestions are acknowledged and rewarded, and safety becomes a higher priority. Workers actually look forward to the meetings and appreciate the recognition.

We provide sexual harassment prevention training using the same approach. Attendees are engaged as our trainers act out different scenarios of what is – and is not – acceptable behavior. Instead of a dull, legalese recitation of rules, our trainers use real world scenarios to answer questions and clarify what constitutes harassment, and what to do about it.
Leadership has never been as important as it is now. The challenges to run a business of any kind successfully are significant, yet people are promoted and tasked with being leaders without training. Having managers who are capable of communicating, of making good decisions, taking action, and setting an example to earn trust and respect is essential. Our training is a workshop where attendees learn new information, practice it in real world scenarios, and implement it as they learn.
